Hello/Annyeong my name is Auteema, I am a native New Yorker who loves music and entertainment. Within the last 2 years I have really dived into all things Korea. Well South Korea, obviously!
I am a fan of male Korean pop bands such as Exo, Super Junior, NCT 127, Monsta X, Winner, Got 7, and of course the Bangtan Boys of BTS. However I do love my girl groups such as Mamamoo, Red Velvet, G(Idle) and Blackpink. Some of the others are just too sweet & cutsey for me, they actual give me cavities listening to them.
I love Korean Hip Hop artist such as Zico, G-Dragon, Epik High and all of AOMG. Also love R&B artist such as Hoody, Heize, Dean, Chancellor, Brown Eye Soul, Junny and Jay Park.
My love of Korean Dramas is why I’m trying to learn some Korean now. My favorites so far are Goblin, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, Romance is a Bonus Book, Memories of Alhambra and Decendents of the Sun.
I’m fortunate to live in a city that is diverse and allows me to be able to experience different cultures first hand. So there is no shortage of Korean restaurants and markets. Which by the way if you watch enough dramas you will always be hungry for ramen, bbq and soju. LOL
Well, that’s about it for me. I’m still exploring and growing in my love of Korean culture and entertainment. Hopefully you all see a little bit of yourselves in me and come along for the ride.
